My very own VIP section

Ok so this post is not about me...shocking I know ;) I wanted to let everyone know about some really important people in my life and some of the wonderful things they have going on because I'm just so darn proud of them. This of course doesn't include everyone who is a VIP in my life, I just wanted to give props to a few people who having some exciting life changes going on, so please don't think you aren't important if you aren't mentioned in this blog.

First is Cara B. Cara is one of my best friends in the whole world! She hasn't always had an easy life, things were never given to her and she has been thrown some pretty tough curves. She has always handled things in her life with dignity, honesty and intelligence, she such a big heart and more determination than anyone I know. A few weeks ago Cara and her husband bought their first home!!!! I must tell you that the house is beyond gorgeous and I'm thoroughly jealous, but so proud of the two of them. While buying your first house is always amazing, Cara and Joe's story is even more amazing because they are buying their first house at the young age of 22! Can you believe it?! They have worked so hard to go to school, raise their beautiful son and stay on track, obviously they have done a great job of it. Cara also got a brand new SUV last week which she really deserved (again I am jealous lol)! Oh and lets not forget about they new addition to their family, a cute new puppy named Duke! To top it all off she graduates from The University of Houston in December with a teaching degree! Her sweet husband had diamonds added to her class ring for her birthday, how awesome is that? Now alot of this may seem like material things but like I said things weren't always easy for this family and they are 100% self made, they have used love, determination and intelligence to make a better life for their family and their son...they deserve a million dollars if you ask me! I couldn't be more proud of this wonderful family. LOVE YOU CARA!

Second is my bestie Kristen. Kristen and Chris were married in December then less than 2 weeks later Chris was shipped off to Bahrain for 6 months! I have only been apart from Matt for 3 weeks and I'm already dying so I can only imagine how hard this was for Kristen. I'm so proud that she made the best of the situation and held down the fort like a champ. Kristen had to pay all of the bills, do the taxes, take care of the cars and all the crazy paper work that is involved with Navy life. On top of all that Kristen had to single handedly plan a move to California! I know that Chris would have helped if he could, but unfortunately Kristen had to do it all herself. I have a new found respect for her and all military wives. She is as I type on her way to San Diego and I'm so excited for her! She is going to be living the beach life in no time! I'm so proud of you Kristen, this next stage of your life is going to be an amazing journey and I can't wait to hear all about it!

Last but not least is my mommy. I will spare you all the gorey details but basically my Mother has been having some issues with another member of her family. This has been going on for years and for the sake of family my mother has been strong and always turned the other cheek. I am amazed at how strong and moral she has been throughout her life, especially in this situation. Finally our family has come to cross roads and action must be taken. My mother is doing what she has to do to stand up for her self and for her family, and I couldn't be more proud. She truly is an amazing woman and I am honored and so lucky to have her as my mom. I LOVE YOU!

Like I said these are only a few of the wonderful people in my life. Please take some time to think of the wonderful people in your life and remember to tell them how proud you are of them. There is no greater feeling than having someone tell you how much they love you and that they are proud of you.
